Waterproof
The Halo Collar is quite durable, and it is also waterproof. This includes being resistant to saltwater.
A comfortable collar (as opposed to an attachable device)
The Halo Collar IS a collar, not a removable device that could become detached from a collar. However, this collar can’t be worn over fourteen hours at a time due to the contacts on the collar. The contacts could cause your dog’s skin to become irritated if worn over this time period.
This could have an effect on the health information you receive, as most pet parents will remove the collar when Fido is indoors or is at rest. A detachable device can be placed on any comfortable collar and it will track your dog’s sleep habits.
Activity tracking
You’ll be able to track your dog’s steps while the collar is in use. This information is recorded on the app you download on your smartphone, and you can share this data with your vet via email.
GPS location information
You’ll never need to worry about Fido becoming lost while wearing the Halo collar, as it utilizes GPS information to determine his exact location—it is one of the best GPS dog fence systems and best dog GPS tracker collars today. Keep in mind, however, that should the GPS signal become blocked (perhaps your dog is near a tall building), the location information could become skewed.
Utilizes static correction, but this feature CAN be turned off
Let’s face it – some pet parents can’t stomach the idea of using a shock collar to keep their dog inside an invisible fence. While the Halo Collar DOES offer static correction, this feature can be turned off. You can then use tonal or vibration correction. You WILL need to commit to training your dog to understand where boundaries are so that they know the tones or vibration is meant to keep them away from the boundary.
Does NOT offer a “Keep Out” zone
Some wireless fence systems offer a “keep out” zone inside the containment area. This helps keeps dogs safe by keeping them away from ponds or pools. The Halo Collar does not offer this feature.

The Wagz Freedom Collar
Geofencing system containment system
You’ll set the geofences up by entering coordinates into the Wagz app, and the collar then contains your pup by using tonal correction. Plus, the app will send you notifications if your canine companion leaves the wireless fence area (or even attempts to do so).
Various methods of deterrence
The Wagz Freedom collar offers not only static (shock) deterrents, but you’ll also be able to use tonal and vibration in order to keep Fido inside those geofences.
Activity Level monitoring

The Halo Collar is a smart collar that really is a collar. With that said, you’ll have to remove it nightly as dogs should wear them over fourteen hours per day. You can set up geofences with the Halo collar, and your dog will be corrected via tones or ultrasonic sounds. No shock necessary! This is a subscription-based product.
Choose the Halo Collar if…
If you wish for a collar that gives pet parents the option to use static correction for more stubborn pets, then the Halo collar offers that option. You will not need to commit to a great deal of training before putting this smart collar on your dog.
